Jain Irrigation Disclean Filter Installation | Kovalam Craft Village

Jain Irrigation Filter Installation at Kovalam Craft Village, Kovalam. FarmersHub Trivandrum installed a Jain Irrigation Disclean 3-inch disc filter into the site's PVC irrigation pipeline assembly. The project photograph shows the blue filter housing, pipe connections, manual service valves and a pressure gauge.
Project location: Kovalam Craft Village, Kovalam, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
Why Irrigation Filtration Matters
Drip emitters, micro-sprinklers and other irrigation outlets can clog when sediment or suspended particles enter the lines. A properly specified disc filter helps remove particles before water reaches the irrigation network. Filter selection depends on water quality, required flow rate, pressure and the filtration grade needed by the downstream equipment.
Installation Details Visible in This Project
- Equipment: Jain Irrigation Disclean disc filter, labelled 3 inches on the unit.
- Pipework: PVC piping and fittings connected to the filter inlet and outlet.
- Service access: Manual valves integrated into the pipe arrangement for flow isolation and maintenance.
- Pressure monitoring: Gauge fittings included in the installation to help check system pressure.
- Mounting: Filter supported above the ground on a metal frame.

Suitable Applications
Disc filtration systems are commonly considered for garden drip irrigation, plantation watering, micro-sprinklers and automated farm irrigation when compatible with the site's water quality and hydraulic design. A filtration system is selected as part of the complete irrigation head-control arrangement.
